DAY 34

Hi friends!  I having been going through some severe detoxing the last 5 days.  I mentioned earlier how I was having signs of a major candida issue within my body.  I actually went to Vitamin Cottage and purchased CandiZyme, which is an enzyme that actually eats the candida so it does not leave you with "die-off" symptoms like the other pills.  Most enzymes kill the candida but leave your body to clean up the mess which causes flu-like symptoms.  Well, needless to say I have been experiencing some major flu-like symptoms in the morning.  Then the afternoon gets better and I am able to be more active.  I have spent the last couple of days in bed until around noon.  I think this is happening because I take 3 of the CandiZyme before bed, and it starts the whole process leaving me sick in the morning.  I'm totally ok with all of this because I know it's doing the job I intended for it to do....EAT CANDIDA :)

I have also been researching colon hydrotherapy aka high colonic and plan to schedule a session next week.  I will be taking video footage of everything prior to me getting one done so you can all see exactly what will happen.  I'm excited, and I hear that it is very comfortable and life changing.

With that being said, I plan to give you a full update soon.  BUT, I am leaving you with some exciting news.

Day 30!  Can't wait for you to view the pictures.  Below is a picture of Kara, Jessie, and I at the adoption.   That picture was taken at the end of August last year.  Then there are photos of my body at the end of week 1, and on day 29.  Crazy!  I have went down 3 pant sizes!  Not to mention I cleared out my closet and got rid of 85% of my clothing.  It was amazing!

My current update for the juice fast is that I am still experiencing major detoxing through my skin.  According to the information I have read, it is time for me to get a colonic.  This allows toxins to be eliminated through fecal matter rather than going through the skin.  It is very painful to have the toxins coming out of my skin.  I continue to have rashes everywhere, but my fingers are taking the brunt of the detoxing.  It's horrible.  The government and pharmaceutical companies have brought us to believe that any form of body discomfort is to be accompanied by a drug of some sort.  Whether it be depression, anxiety, rashes, seizures, anger....and any other unpleasant feeling.   I feel like instead of listening to our body and fixing it by offering different foods, positive thinking, and exercise, we have become dependent on medication to take away the red flags our body is sending us.  This process just causes more dis-ease and illnesses in our bodies.  Not to mention, so many people are completely tuned out from their bodies, zombies on their phones and internet, and don't forget TV.  This fast has allowed me to go INWARD and examine areas of my life that need repair and love.

Candida OVERLOAD

Hi everyone!  I played some amazing volleyball for 3 hours tonight!  Great workout and I felt amazing until the last 30 mins, but that was just because I was giving it my all.  I'm finally feeling that energy from the juice fast and it's great.  My trainer played with me tonight and mentioned to me that it sounds like I have a major case of candida.  I have a rash all over my fingers and really my entire body.  I feel completely inflammed and it's only getting worse.  So, what did I do you might ask?  I looked to see what Dan McDonald says about candida.  Below are the symptoms.  I highlighted the ones I have.

  • Vaginal Yeast Infection
  •  Constant fatigue
  •  Brain "fog" -hard to focus or even think straight.
  •  Oral Thrush (a white film on tongue or in the mouth)
  • Bad breath, foul taste in mouth
  •  Abdominal pain (intestinal Candida)
  •  Bloating and indigestion
  • Increasing allergies to foods (gluten or celiac problems can be a direct result of Candida overgrowth) 
  • Constant craving for something sweet!
  •  Joint pain with arthritis-like symptoms
  •  Chronic sinus drainage -which antibiotics don't help!
  •  Weight gain (or loss) and the inability to change it. ("It used to be that I couldn't eat without feeling bloated and miserable. Now I eat and eat to satisfy. I have lost 30lbs since beginning Fivelac." -Donna S)
  •  Fungus on the finger or toe-nails
  •  Itching, red eyes
  •  Candida Skin rashes on the body (eczema, atopic dermatitis)
  •  Candida Rash inside the ears or around the groin area
  •  Anal, penile or vaginal itching
  •  Hair loss
  • Vision problems
  • Depression from feeling so low and bogged down all the time.
When I saw this list I knew that I was going to have to take some major action.   A couple of things that Dan McDonald (my guru) says about candida:

a.)  Fruit does not cause candida, it is the EPIC food for energy.
b.) Sugar in the fruit that you juice will feed the healthy cells and strengthen the immune system.
C.)  Being that candida is an anaerobic bacteria/virus it thrives in a non-oxygenated environment.  Bring oxygen to your body by exercising.
         a.) If you eat enough food or juice and go outside and play vigorously and think positive thoughts, and cultivate health.
d.)  Western medicine has taught us to attack viruses, however, Dan recommends that instead of trying to kill or attack, we cultivate health, strength, energy, positive thinking, joy, creativity.  Focus on the positive qualities, you never want to try to kill or eliminate dis-ease.  You always want to cultivate and nurture your vital dynamics; your God self, your light self, your health self.  You have to honor the body!

COMMON MISCONCEPTION:  Juicing fruits causes candida, or feeds the candida.

WHAT DAN SAYS:  WIthout fruit sugars there is no cellular energy.  Fruits are the NUMBER 1 macro-nutrient component when it comes to health.  

Difference:  WHITE SUGAR has NO bio-balance.  It is just rocket fuel, or like a gasoline that just burns up, leaving everything in ash.  Fruit sugars heal and balance on a cellular level.  

Lastly, this is why I really love Dan....  we are ALL sages, and sages are intuitive. If your body is craving sugars or something sweet, give it a juice with fruit!   We are the future!  I'm going to keep learning and not depend on any doctor to tell me what to do for candida.  If I create a healthy environment for my body, mind, and spirit, dis-ease will no longer have a place to roam free!

So, my plan is to carb up in the mornings and afternoons with ginger, apple, carrot juice, then go to green vegetable juices mid day and evening.  I knew this would happen, I just have to push through it!

Dan the Man aka The Life Regenerator has a video below on another one of his versions of the Lemon Ginger Blast!  I love his video's because not only does he juice, but he explains things so well and touches on many illnesses we have and how to cure them.  In this specific video he talks about IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrom).  His response when people ask him about this issue is 1.) there is something  unresolved in your life 2.) you are eating while you are stressed.  If you want to get rid of IBS, pay attention, and only eat when you are calm and peaceful, which means CREATE calm and peacefullness before you eat and drink.  He goes on and on about how exactly to do this, but I will let you enjoy his presence and watch him in action. If you are suffering from any gallbladder issues, he touches base on how to cure that as well!  ENJOY!

DAY 13 


So, after reading the below article I feel so much better.  I have been checking my weight daily, not getting enough sleep, juice, and water, as well as lacking enough movement.  There's my problem!  So, now that I have the information I need I am going to make the necessary changes so I can get my body functioning better.  No more Deb-downer for me!  Time to change my attitude and fight hard!  



BREAKING THROUGH A WEIGHT-LOSS PLATEAU by Stacey Kennedey (rebootyourlife.com)

Here you are going along your Reboot, losing weight and feeling great. Then all of a sudden your weight won’t budge. What gives? The weight loss train that was cruising along at high speeds and has suddenly slammed on its breaks. You feel like you’re doing everything “right.” Before those helpless feelings creep in and rear their ugly heads attempting to derail your Reboot, take a moment to review this list of tips to see how to get your weight moving in the right direction again.

Bump up your water intake. Getting adequate hydration is very important for weight loss. Our bodies are 70% water and the metabolic process of burning fat requires the compounds water offers us (those good ‘ole Hs, and Os).


Drink more juice. Taking in too little in terms of nutrients and calories can lead to weight refusing to budge. Essentially we are hardwired to prevent starvation. We gain weight easily and taking it off is difficult. This prevents starvation in lean times. Our environment has changed much faster than our genes. Lean times are rare for most of us, although let’s not forget that hunger remains a serious problem for men, women and children across the world and often right in our own towns. (I digress from our weight loss tips but want to mention this important topic).


Balance out your juices. Be sure to add some veggies to most if not all of your juices to keep calories and carbohydrates balanced.


Get moving. Walking is a great way to boost metabolism and weight loss. If longer walks are not feasible doing 3, 10 minute walks is a great and effective option. Moderate pace is best too, no need to be an athlete, just active. Cycling, stationary bike, water aerobics, tai chi and yoga are other good ideas for exercise.


Cut the sh*t. Some folks experience constipation during their Reboot. As a nutritionist we talk about these sensitive topics all the time but many are not comfortable discussing potty talk. Stool weighs a lot! When weight loss screeches to a halt it may be that you’re backed up. Check out our tips for constipation in the FAQ section. A bowel movement, especially if it’s been a few days can lead to a 2-5# drop in weight!!!


Hit the sack early. Poor sleep and lack of sleep are correlated with difficulty losing weight. Addressing sleep is often enough to get the scale moving again.

Check your weight weekly. While it’s tempting to get a daily number, this can do more harm than good. Everyone’s weight will bump up and down a few pounds day to day. It’s not meaningful in terms of actual weight lost or body composition changes but it’s very meaningful in terms of being discouraging and playing mind games.

Think big picture. Are your clothes fitting looser, have you lost inches? It is not unusual to see body composition changes before weight loss.

Practice patience. Research shows that our body’s internal environment will often change faster than our weight. Your blood pressure may be less, your cholesterol or blood sugar may be lower, you may have more energy, clearer skin or stronger nails and hair but that darn scale doesn’t show any of these achievements. Don’t despair! Your weight will move in time. Weight loss is a very complex process.

Hi everyone!  Day 10 is going to bring so many wonderful things my way.  I am venturing out to Whole Foods and Vitamin Cottage to find wheatgrass and hopefully some watercrest.  Mixing these 2 juices with coconut water is known to be very healing for upper respiratory issues.  Below is some cool information on wheatgrass.  I love the idea of oxygenating my body and providing it with chlorophyll which gets into the tissues, refines them, and makes them over. Goodbye dis-ease!

40 WHEATGRASS BENEFITS

1. Wheatgrass juice is 70% chlorophyll.
2. Chlorophyll is the first product of light and, therefore, contains more light energy than any other element.
3. Wheatgrass juice is a crude chlorophyll and can be taken orally and as a colon implant without toxic side effects.
4. Chlorophyll is the basis of all plant life.
5. Wheatgrass is high in oxygen like all green plants that contain chlorophyll. The brain and all body tissues function at an optimal level in a highly-oxygenated environment.

Hi everyone!  You are probably wondering what I mean when I talk about the juicing detox symptoms I am experiencing.  Below is some great information about exactly what is happening in the body.  After I read this information I realized how excited I truly am to be fasting!  Thank you God for giving me the courage and strength to heal myself.
DAY 3 UPDATE


Fasting Detoxification Stages
Here is an overview of the detoxification stages during a juice fast. The time periods are a general estimation.
Stage 1 (Day 1 To Day 2)
On the first day of fasting, the blood sugar level drops below 70 mg/dl. To restore the blood to the normal glucose level, liver glycogen is converted to glucose and released into the blood. This reserve is enough for half a day. The body then reduces the basal metabolic rate (BMR). The rate of internal chemical activity in resting tissue is lowered to conserve energy. The heart slows and blood pressure is reduced. Glycogen is pulled from the muscle causing some weakness. The first wave of cleansing is usually the worst.
Headaches, dizziness, nausea, bad breath, glazed eyes and a heavily coated tongue are signs of the first stage of cleansing. Hunger can be the most intense in this period unless the enema is used which quickly assists the body into the fasting state by ending digestion in the colon.
Stage 2 (Day 3 To Day 7)
Fats, composed of transformed fatty acids, are broken down to release glycerol from the gliceride molecules and are converted to glucose. The skin may become oily as rancid oils are purged from the body. People with problem-free skin may have a few days of pimples or even a boil. A pallid complexion is also a sign of waste in the blood. Ketones are formed by the incomplete oxidation of fats. It is suspected that the ketones in the blood suppress the appetite by affecting the food-satiety center in the hypothalamus. You may feel hungry for the first few days of the fast. This effect is temporary. The desire to eat will disappear. Lack of hunger may last 40 to 60 days, depending on whether you are on water or juice.
The body embraces the fast and the digestive system is able to take a much-needed rest, focusing all of its energies on cleansing and healing. White blood cell and immune system activity increases. You may feel pain in your lungs. The cleansing organs and the lungs are in the process of being repaired. Periodically, the lymphatic system expels mucoid matter through the nose or throat. The volume excreted of this yellow-colored mucus can be shocking. The sinuses go through periods of being clogged, then will totally clear. The breath is still foul and the tongue coated. Within the intestine, the colon is being repaired and impacted feces on the intestinal wall start to loosen.
Stage 3 (Day 8 to Day 15)
On the latter part of an extended fast, you can experience enhanced energy, clear-mindedness and feel better than you have felt since childhood. On the downside, old injuries may become irritated and painful. This is a result of the body’s increased ability to heal during fasting. If you had broken your arm 10 years before, there is scar tissue around the break. At the time of the break, the body’s ability to heal was directly related to lifestyle. If you lived on a junk-food diet, the body’s natural healing ability was compromised.
During fasting, the body’s healing process is at optimum efficiency. As the body scours for dead or damaged tissue, the lymphocytes enter the older, damaged tissue secreting substances to dissolve the damaged cells. These substances irritate the nerves in the surrounding region and cause a reoccurrence of aches from previously injured areas that may have disappeared years earlier. The pain is good as the body is completing the healing process. The muscles may become tight and sore due to toxin irritation. The legs can be the worst affected, as toxins accumulate in the legs. Cankers are common in this stage due to the excessive bacteria in the mouth. Daily gargling with salt and water will prevent or heal cankers.
Stage 4 (Day 16 to Day 30)
The body is completely adapted to the fasting process. There is more energy and clarity of mind. Cleansing periods can be short with many days of feeling good in between. There are days when the tongue is pink and the breath is fresh. The healing work of the organs is being completed. After the detoxification mechanisms have removed the causative agent or render it harmless, the body works at maximum capacity in tissue proliferation to replace damaged tissue. While a short fast will reduce the symptoms, a longer fast can completely heal. Homeostatic balance is at optimum levels. The lymphatic system is clean except for a rare discharge of mucus through the nose or throat. After day 20, the mind is affected. Heightened clarity and emotional balance are felt at this time. Memory and concentration improve.
Stage 5 (Breaking the Fast)
The sticky, toxic, mucoid coating on the intestinal wall is loose, and the first meal frees it from the intestinal wall. Toxins enter the blood through the colon. The gallbladder dumps its waste in a heavy discharge of bile. This can cause an instant bowel movement upon eating followed by intense diarrhea. If the symptoms are too uncomfortable, an enema will help.

Wow Day 1 of my 90 day juice fast has been fairly good!  I was expecting to be hungry and really unhappy.  I think the key to feeling good is taking a mid-day nap, drinking lots of water/rejuvelac, staying busy, and keeping a positive attitude.  I got a Jack Lalanne Power Juicer for free from a friend of mine and it is amazing!  It is really easy to clean, and utilizes most all of the juice inside the fruit and vegetables.  Walking through Costco today I noticed they sell the stainless steel version for $89.99.  Great deal for those of you interested in juicing.  Now I need to find a wheatgrass juicer for a bargain deal and I will be set.

So....it's 1am on my BIRTHday and I'm getting closer and closer to my juicefast!  Stay tuned folks because this is going to be EPIC, trust me!  I've been studying hard daily for at least 3 hours trying to educate myself as much as possible so I can have amazing, life changing, results.  regenerateyourlife.org has been a huge inspiration and Dan McDonald will be my guru for the next 3 months.  I'm so excited to share this journey with you.  Please feel fee to comment and leave inspiring things for to read or listen to.  Love and light!

I have started preparing rejuvelac for Monday.  I'm super excited about it and can't wait to taste it.  Angela Stokes gives a great video on how to prepare your own.  Below is some information on rejuvelac.

I decided to take the plunge into a tall glass of juice!  Heck yes, I'm about to start the process of an amazing juice fast/detox!  For those of you who know me, you know this past year has been an amazing spiritual journey for me.  Between meeting my soul family, getting my master level reiki attunement, and going to Sedona, AZ, I have been transformed in so many ways.  I recently asked my guides for help and I received a clear message from them during dream time. I was directed and guided to detox my body and my dis-ease would then be gone.  How could I ignore that?
A few nights after while visiting with friends, my neighbor popped by for a card reading.  I was mentioning my dream and she started to tell me all about juicing and rejuvelac (all natural probiotic made out of wheat berries).  Since then I have been on the hunt to figure out what type of detox would best benefit me.  I watched the documentary Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead and have read tons of material on juicing. This is going to be an exciting journey and I welcome you all to join in it with me!  My juice fast will start on Monday June 11th, and I plan on doing video updates so you can see my body transform.   See you all bright and early....  Love and Light <3
